MRIS Graduation Dinner!

In a first, MRIS held an official Graduation Dinner last week guided by Yr 6 teacher Laura Nicholls. Described as magical night, all agreed that the event should become a regular on the calendar. Former student, Waimana Helmbright was a special guest at the celebration. Students received Graduation Bears and a Graduation Book.

Surfs up for MRIS!

Surf groms: MRIS Surfing Program started last week under the guidance of MRIS Physical Education teacher, Sean Allen. The four week program with Josh Palamateer Surf School is being held at the River Mouth. Perfect weather ensured a great time was had by all with both beginners and advanced surfers honing their surfing skills.

MRIS students from Year 3 attend the Nature Conservation 2018 Bio Blitz recently. Over $100 was raised during MRIS Odd Socks Day to celebrate World Kindness Day last week. Students paid a gold coin donation for the privilege of wearing Odd Socks or any oddly matched garment.
